Finally, my cheap butt has a leather set of C&C...

Post by Treebore »

because I finally found them both super cheap. It was even my favorite printing of the PH, the third. Yeah, I know some of you didn't like the glossy paper, but I really like it. Got them both for a little over $25. Total. Got them at the convention I have been at this weekend. Got some other awesome deals, such as h1 to H4 of the Bloodstone Mines series for $10, total, with two of the maps nicely laminated. I also got a nearly complete WarhammerQuest, All its missing is 3 of the hero mini's and the original dice. I got it for $50.00. If you want to see just how good of a deal I got, look the Bloodstone Mines and Warhammer up on eBay. I also picked up a copy of Talisman 2E, complete, for $2.00. I also got both Wayfarers books for 75% off retail. So combine that with a lot of good gaming, including the game of C&C I ran being so well received that three of the 6 players gave me a round of applause, a very good Convention weekend. One I hope to repeat at Con on the Cob in Ohio in a couple of weeks.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Wow, those ARE some smokin hot deals. I picked up my collectors PHB and M&T a couple years ago for a pretty good deal too and I love it, although I don't use it much, in order to keep it nice. I like the layout. While some of the images are smaller, it makes for a thinner book which I like in the leather. I also thought the glossy paper brought our the best in many of the more heavily grayscaled images, especially compared to the flipbook which struggled a bit in that area. They smell good too. :)

Yeah, after rereading my receipts I actually got the PH for $16.25, the M&T was free. The Wayfarers PH and GM books were on the same bill, hence my confusion.

Great score on the WHQ. I picked up one a couple yrs ago on ebay for like 75$ with one missing door frame.
