I GOT A JOB!!!

Post by Julian Grimm »

Five years ago the wife and I tried our hands at starting our own goat diary operation. We wanted to give it time to get going but setback after setback plagued us and we came to the conclusion that it was time for me to go back to work. After so many years not working a 'real job' no employer seemed to want to touch me. That was until a few friends helped out and got me an interview at a Little Ceaser's near me.

I am happy to say that I was hired today and will start work on Teusday. Starting out it will be part time but I was told by many there that I would definitely be able to work up in the ranks and get better hours quickly. I also will be able to retain another smaller job that I picked up to help supplement what I make at LC.

Things seem to be turning around and it is a welcome change.

Good!
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Thanks all. The downside is that I have to shave off my prized goatee but, at this point I would shave my head and tattoo and 8-ball on it to get a job. LOL

Congrats!!!!

I know the pain of not being able to find work, and then only have it be 'part time' (2 months between my military retirement and getting hired to teach at the first school that hired me and it was for a certified teacher at part time pay ...)

But, I found out that it was a small door God opened for me to get to the path he wanted me on. And, after I did my time at that job, my current classroom opened up & it was perfect for me! So, keep working hard, and stay on the path and you'll find what you need.

I'd pay to see that !

When I retired out of the military, I soooooo looked forward to having a beard (I miss mine from the recon team) but sadly, where I now teach frowns on it, sooooo no beard when I have cadets :(

I start tomorrow at 11 and work a split shift. I have my uniform ready and have finally done the dreaded shaving. I look about 5 years younger and my face is cold. Pizza, pizza!

Congratulations! (and Good Luck!)

PS - sad to say, it took me a few seconds to translate "goat diary operation" to "goat dairy operation". My first thought was, "Yeah, the lack of opposable thumbs may limit the market for goats to write down their deepest thoughts". :)

Baptism By Fire, congratualations on not only surviving it but surviving it with a sense of pride. I have met people in the business world that would whine and bitch about it, but not you, you rose to the challenge and left with a feeling of self accomplishment, and for that I tip my hat to you sir
