No 4th printing PDF?

Post by Treebore »

I have a player who has been playing other games with my daughter and I, and he has horrible vision, even with glasses he is still technically blind. So to make it easiest on him he uses PDF's that he can enlarge the print on. Now he is interested in giving C&C a try, but with how his vision is I told him to get the 4th printing PDF instead of the 5th, because I know the lack of contrast between the print and back ground color will make it more difficult, possibly impossible, for him to read the rule book.

Anyways, we cannot find a 4th printing PDF on drivethru, so can someone at TLG help us out?
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

If he gets the 5th printing PDF you can achieve what you want with two programs. Use pdftk to remove the background images and ghostscript to convert it to B/W. I can do it for you if you want. Althought I haven't looked into it yet, it is probably possible to make it high contrast green on black like the old terminals.

Thanks for the ideas, but Tim is trying to take care of this. He just needs to talk to Steve on Monday. In the mean time we have come up with a short term solution.

Well, in my case they did a one time sale kind of thing. I don't recall them putting it up for general sale again.
