Important for Codex Nordica backers:

Post by timburns »

Greetings! If you pledged for Codex Nordica, you should have just received your survey for Codex Nordica. In it we ask for the titles of the adventures you receive due to stretch goals.
KS does not let us post on the Board after close (something new to me) so we do not have the link up for the approved adventures.
But here is the link for the approved adventures: http://www.trolllord.com/downloads/pdfs ... relist.pdf

Did it, thanks for the PDF DL to decide with!
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Really looking forward to the arrival of the Codex Nordica, now that the "Vikings" miniseries has started its second season.

I was just wondering if the summary I recieved with the "Response Needed" email was correct. It read:

Pledge Summary
Amount pledged: $49.00 USD
Project: Castles & Crusades Codex Nordica by Stephen Chenault
Reward: THANE! Deeds speak louder than words! You get the Codex Nordica in PRINT and PDF. PLUS you'll receive an exclusive adventure penned by Brian Young! PLUS your name will enter the Annals! We'll put you on a special dedication page of the book. PLUS bring the game to your table with an authentic Viking Long House by Fat Dragon Games. PLUS an 18 x 22 inch Poster of the Worlds of the Vikings!
Estimated delivery: Mar 2014

But according to Update #1 "Everyone who pledges $49.00 or more gets a set of the [Odin's Runes] tiles"
As well, Update #7 says "everyone who has pledged $49.00 or more receives an official set of C&C dice manufactured by Crystal Caste".

Now, I know there's already a bunch of great swag with this Kickstarter, and I don't want to be greedy. Well actually, I DO want to be greedy, it's the Viking thing to do. Those tiles and dice sound pretty cool.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone could clear this up for me.
Thanks.

Greedily,
Willy Rat from the frozen wastes of central Canada

Yeah, the dice were one of the last bonus', so you get both the dice and runes.

Those of you with history in this stuff, when do you think actual things will start to be delivered to the backers? Weeks? Months? Years?
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

sooner. Codex Celtarum was delivered promptly.
The mug, boardgame, jug fordice might slow thigs down, and I can't imagine shipping isn't a bitch, but the book should be fine

I'm hoping under 6 years.

No, just kidding! (I hope!) From where they say they are on the book I am hoping to see it in hand some time in May. So we'll see, won't we?

A few weeks but no more -- I expect packages will begin to be received sometime in April

The text was done with the exception of new stuff that needed to be added due to stretch goals (aka bonus page count material). We will certainly see the PDF before the end of this month which means the file will be sent to the printers shortly thereafter (we prefer this since it does result in significant problems to be corrected as necessary). What takes longer is, of course, some of the swag and this is out of the Trolls hands. Orders for this stuff, like the dice, wooden stuff, etc, have been made within a few days of the end of the KS (it does take a few days before funds are received from Amazon Payments) and likely any wait will be due to swag considerations.

I think a lot of the stretch goals and swag is what led to some of the slowdowns we say with the Haunted Highlands KS but nothing unreasonable there either. The Trolls have gotten a lot better about completing newer projects in a timely manner so I'm rather excited about the new projects on the horizon. And, it's worth noting that, having backed about 50 Kickstarters since the TLG's first 'Classic Monsters' Kickstarter, they are one of the VERY FEW companies that have delivered in a reasonable time frame (within a year of the project launch and, if I'm not mistaken, usually within 6 months at the most).
