Familiars and Attacks

Post by Lobo316 »

In regards to Familiars (or animal companions) and attacking (or other actions perhaps), can the master of the familiar to something else the same round he commands his familiar or pet to do something, or does it take that players action for the round?

I'm assuming animals and familiars actions are "in addition" to whatever the players does, but just checking to see how others may run this. Thanks!

How long does it take you to yell, "Attack!" Commanding an animal/pet/familiar is a free action as far as I'm concerned. The animal would go on the PCs initiative, but have it's own attack action.

Familiars and master have a telepathic bond. Don't even need to shout.
