Future PDF product
Future PDF product
I just got finished taking my PHB pdf and creating links from the Class Spell lists to the verbose Spell descriptions (where I found some errors I posted in the PHB errata thread) and linking the CKG Table of Contents to the corresponding pages/sections. It REALLY makes the pdf's FAR more usable.
This type of thing SHOULD be done with pdf product that is close in price with its dead wood equivalent. It is not difficult but adds real value. Take advantage of the medium...

I should do the same. How long did it take?
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The PHB took ~2 hours on and off. CKG Table of Contents ~ 1 hour. Using Acrobat Pro XTreebore wrote:I should do the same. How long did it take?

I'd be using a freebie product, likely LibreOffice.

Re: Future PDF product
I'll probably do that when I finish my 10th Anniversary update of the white box rules. Yes, I'm working on it and no, it's not an official product.

Oh. I've never used OO to directly edit PDF's. Didn't know it was possible.
Re: Future PDF product
Got a great deal from Foxit on their high-end editor for $99, couldn't resist.
That's how I found the hidden text in A1 hidden behind one of the graphics.

Re: Future PDF product
I keep thinking it would be good to make some software to do repeatable, simple mods to commercial PDFs. For example, someone could download a program that if they had a specific version of a DnDClassics.com AD&D module, they'd run it and produce a PDF with an overlay that had the C&C stats put in over it.
