I am soooo tempted, but my wife would..

possibly kill me. I like Savage Worlds, and have always been interested in Deadlands Reloaded, but have never bought any of it. Came close a few times, very close, but never did it. So this would be an awesome way to catch up, but my wife has already been telling me how I spend too much on RPG's. Plus she is right, I do. Much too much. Still, tempting, very, very tempting...

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I've never played Savage Worlds, but bought the PDF's a year ago or two.

One of these days...

Yeah, I've played several versions of Savage Worlds and even ran their "Fantasy" supplement for a few months and also gave their Solomon Kane a try, and I recently played in their MARS setting. I own their futuristic sci fi one as well, as well as their Supers books. I'd also very much like to own their Deadlands: Reloaded stuff.

Don't rightly know, but somehow (maybe through another Kickstarter?) I got Rippers PDF for free. Never opened it to read it, but sounds interesting.

I like the Deadlands: Reloaded setting and the presentation of the Deadlands books. But, I was never a fan of having to then add in the Savage Worlds core sourcebook on top of that. It scattered the rules a bit too much for me. But, once the system is learned and everyone kinda knows what they're doing, the game runs well. Related to the Aces & Eights thread, I was looking to get a Western themed RPG and, given both Boot Hill and Aces & Eights aren't quite in print, I went with Deadlands: Reloaded.
