The method of Advantages in D&D Next is pretty cool though not very original. I've been trying something in the same vein for a couple years now as a replacement to the Siege Engine as well as adapting something for 'elite monsters'.

The Advantages in D&D Next (mechanics-wise) are nothing like the ones in the CKG.
