GenCon 2014 Off Grid Games----you in?

Post by Snoring Rock »

OK, I am the only person running C&C games on the grid at GenCon. Unless someone steps up fast, it will not happen. Events go live Sunday.

We can start a thread here for those who are going to GenCon and want to grab a table and do some off grid action. Friday night I will run Judges Guild's Tegel Manor (3 years running). Bob II and Bob III are hoping to join us for the game. So come play and get an autograph, meet some gaming legends. That game is open!

Now, I can run anything. Make a suggestion; G1-3 Giant Series, Caverns of Thracia, something out of Aihrde? Tell me what you want to go through and I will run it or something like it, off grid at GenCon. The two games on the grid iare Analegorn's lair; The king of the dwarves in Thunderhold, wants his ancestral home back. But Analegorn (the great red wyrm) prefers it for his own. Sounds like Smug huh? No it's Smaug' grand father......dare you? I can run that off grid as well.

Or if you want to run something, lets do it. We can start a list and make some time and then PM cell numbers before the con and do some off grid gaming!!

You may want to update your thread title to 2014. :-)

A decent chance I'll be attending (short of a scheduling issue or two). I would imagine most of my time will be spent at the TLG booth, but there might be a possibility in the evenings.

If I run anything, (unless the Trolls plan on something, the way they did with Giant's Rapture last year), it will most likely be off the grid, but I'm always game for either playing or CKing a good game of C&C at Gen Con.

What ever TLG does will be off grid. The events go live on Sunday. That leaves little time for entering set of games, getting it scheduled and then on the grid. Shame.

But, we can leave phone numbers and times at the booth and hook up for gaming goodness. Omote always knows where the action is too.

My twin and I would definitely be up for something C&C-related. We're hoping to get into Analegorn's lair, on the grid, as it were. But, given the odds, planning for if that doesn't work out makes some sense. :D

Well, after the disappointment of getting pretty much anything old school (all the daytime slots we could make of C&C/1E/2E were plucked up long before I got through the queue) my wife and I are more than eager to see if anything might available off the grid... or if late submissions are made to be on-the-grid/not-in-the-catalogue. The bad side is that our availability with a little one is mostly kept to daylight hours, so I've got a bad feeling we're gonna be SOL.

Actually, I will be running Analegorn's lair on Saturday noon to 5 off the grid. I have 1 player now, possibly 2. That will not be the case for long. You are welcome to join.

I would very much like to play in any of your games SR, but I was not lucky enough to get in on the on-grid games. The only games I did get in were all on Saturday (RIFTS, and True Dungeon). If you happen to run any games on Wed, Thu, Fri, or Sun, please inform! ;)

Awesome! I am running an off grid game Friday night. Bob Bledsaw III will possibly be there as well.

Anyone interested in off grid games; I will run Tegel Manor or Rappin Athuk on Friday evening about 7 pm or so, at the Hyatt Regency in the mezzanine somewhere. In Saturday at noon to 5, I will run Analegorn's Lair (Wilderlands red dragon) which is my grid game that sold out in 3 minutes.

My time is filing up, but I have nothing for Wednesday evening. So if there are any requests?

If you are interested PM me or ckell at charter dot net. I would put you on the list. We may also leave a sign up list and phone number at the TLG booth.
