List of Character Classes?
List of Character Classes?
Besides the 13 Character Classes in the PHB, how many other classes are there and what books are they from?

Re: List of Character Classes?
Well, the new Haunted Highlands has introduced a lot of new ones. So have both of the Codex books. Aside from those, I don't recall seeing new classes. Oh, the Runemark got is own book dedicated to it.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Codex Celtarum: Woodwose, Wolf Charmer
Barbarians of the Wilderlands has a variant Barbarian class
Bluffside: Aristocrat, Blood Guardian, Bluffside Mountain Ranger, Cat Burglar, Elven Defender, Explorer, Nevae Wanderer, Sister of Mercy, Tunnel Fighter
There was also the Netbook of Classes, and Tome of Diversity, and many other contributions, I think most of that got absorbed into the Crusaders Companion.

Re: List of Character Classes?
Weren't they talking about some kind of Adventurer's Backpack thing that had some new base classes in it? Was pretty sure I saw it somewhere, but it might have been scrapped.

Never head of Tainted Lands? Anyone give a rundown of what that book is about? Also Metal Master sounds good? Is it like some Magneto type class?
Also Adventurer Backpack? What is that about?

Nordica hasn't been released yet, so no idea what new classes will be in it. As for psionics, I did an adaptation of 2e psionics. It's in my sig under "Whatnots."exoknight wrote:Also what classes are from Codex Nordica? Was there any psionic material ever published?

It was a boxed set, and is now OOP, so the reprint they intend to do will now be in book form. I am embarrassed that I forgot about the new classes in there, since I've played one of them several times.
As for what it is, its basically a Ravenloft/Horror type setting. Its very gritty, very much the "odds are against you" kind of setting with its own history and rules that displaced players have to struggle to figure out just in order to survive. Aside from the editing errors, which are so bad we were unsure as to how several of the new class abilities were supposed to function. I'd tell you more, but my son was the CK for those games, and he has the "rules" we decided upon, etc... So I don't have access to them right now. Anyways, before I side tracked into the editing errors, its a pretty cool setting with its own very unique "flavor", so hopefully you may like it, but if its not your kind of "thing", well, obviously you won't like it.

Found it on the boards one time. Don't think anything became of it.exoknight wrote:

Re: List of Character Classes?
It got rolled into the CKG, for the most part. There was still enough "left over" that Steve wants to still do it someday, but with him being the heart/core of TLG, anything he works on will take years to get done, since he has so little spare time to work on projects of his own. So we might see it in 2 to 5 more years, with the 5 year mark being much more likely.Shadowslayer wrote:Found it on the boards one time. Don't think anything became of it.exoknight wrote:

Adventurer Backpack sounds like a PHB 2. That sounds cool.

I thought so too. I'm not a real nut about specific settings, regardless of system, so I thought that sounded cool.exoknight wrote:Adventurer Backpack sounds like a PHB 2. That sounds cool.
