Got it and downloaded.....uh it is my precious.
Re: Codex Nordica backers:
If its an update that was e-mailed to us, I don't get it, I unsubscribed because of how much I was being spammed.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

It's the digital release of Nordica. I started to look through it, but got side tracked. I'll have time to look at it tomorrow.Treebore wrote:If its an update that was e-mailed to us, I don't get it, I unsubscribed because of how much I was being spammed.

Re: Codex Nordica backers:
The art work is exceptional. This book has some of the best I have seen. Peter went way out on this and excelled at bringing in the feel of Viking myth. I did find a small error under one of the listings for berserker abilities:
"The Berserker can use this against opponents for defense. They must designate to the Castle
Keeper beforehand before being attacked that they want to try to disarm their enemies."
Maybe that is ok, but it does not read well for me. But if that's it, then this is one tight edit.
The layout for new character classes would have been better if the classes were all together. Instead they are interspersed according to topic in the book. So fighter type classes like the berserker, is found under combat and the sorceress is found under magic. I would prefer if they were both under classes. A section for classes would have suited me better.
Other than that, I really like what I see. Please print it and get it to me in dead tree, hard back, old-school form! This Codex is fantastic!

Sweetness!
I'd love to see a pronunciation guide added, or made available online here.

Check email and your junk/spam filters. I believe the email is tied to your account and RPGNow / Drivethru for the download so just providing a link may not work for you if you were a backer.Captain_K wrote:Anyone got the link handy?

Got the email, got the pdf... got a new email about "all the stuff is ready".. is it just me being stupid (which is not uncommon), but how are we to know "what" "add ons" or how many we're supposed to get? I do not recall much of that.. I'm very new to these kickstarter topics. Also, do we have to pay for certain items to be shipped too?

Well, to answer the shipping charges question, I guess it depends which 'North Coast' you are referring to.Captain_K wrote:Got the email, got the pdf... got a new email about "all the stuff is ready".. is it just me being stupid (which is not uncommon), but how are we to know "what" "add ons" or how many we're supposed to get? If you hail from anywhere other than the continental United States, you will receive an email regarding shipping charges. I got my email a little less than two weeks ago with quite a hefty bill. Then again, I was in the highest tier which had a lot of stretch goals adding to the bulk and weight of the package so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.
However, if you live in the US, then my understanding is that SHIPPING IS INCLUDED (lucky bastards).
As to what you are getting or supposed to get, that's a bit trickier.
The first thing to do is check the amount you pledged and your reward level. The total amount you paid will determine your eligibility of the various stretch goals.
Example: If you selected the $49 level but decided to put in an add-on (say another book for $20), your total is actually $69 which makes you eligible for everything at the $69 level.
Fortunately, if you look back to the main Kickstarter Page for the Codex Nordica, TLG has been kind enough to itemize exactly what you are getting based on what you paid and this includes all the bonuses and stretch goals for the campaign. In terms of specifics, at the end of the campaign, we all filled out a Kickstarter survey (or should have). If you log in to Kickstarter and scroll down to see the level you originally selected, you can also see the survey you filled out where you would have been asked to list whatever choices or add-ons you may have been required to list. Obviously the exclusive adventures are the same for everyone but one of the goals was to pick something like 3 adventure modules depending on you pledge level.
I hope this answers some of your questions. Feel free to chime in if there is something else that you have questions about.

I did the $130 level. I'm in the US, "Great Lakes" region is sometimes call the North Coast.
I read the page, made it look like in the US all comes for free.. but then it looks like the clay mug is extra.
I never get these things too easily.
