I received my new Players Handbook today, and two things immediately jumped out at me:

1. The text pops off the page. It is the easiest-to-read C&C Players Handbook ever.

2. I like that the character classes have been put in alphabetical order.

I've told Todd to not "HOLD" any normal orders too, so the PH is going out with the daily orders as well.

Did Todd see anything addressed to St. James, Mo?

I will go sit in front of the window now and wait.

It was pointed out to me that they even re colored those ugly pieces in the book, so they look pretty awesome now!

Only an idea, another 2 to 4 weeks. Hopefully Steve or Tim can come along and give you a solid schedule.

5th edition PHB is not in stock in the only store in Denmark that sells C&C, so 2-4 weeks sounds reasonable (I hope!)

I don't think that 5th Ed is in stock in 90% of stores anywhere on the planet. It sold out a while ago...

I got mine out of order (last week). I was on one of the lower KS tiers. Sometimes mistakes work to ones advantage.

Since the book is virtually identical, content-wise, as the previous PHB, it's not critical to your games to have it yet. But, I certainly understand that the waiting game is a cruel bitch. SOON is never soon enough. All the best.

Same here. I was hoping it would arrive on Thursday and then Saturday for weekend perusal, but alas...

I enjoyed reading Snoring Rock's entries here, though. I almost hope mine arrives first (or, even better, on the same day) so I still have some great things to read -- I don't want to have to pick up his sorrowful mantle and keep tabs on my mailbox from 10 miles away whilst at work.

So I got a rocking chair. The other one is making my back hurt. Then, the jeep pulled up. The postal carrier hopped out and walked around back and took out a package. Oh....oh for the love of humanity, it's here I exclaimed! I swung the door open and met the carried half way. After all, no need to carry that package so far, right?

Hm. This package:

1. Is too heavy to be a book.
2. Has a return address from the blacksmith shop I order my blacksmithing supplies from.
3. Its not my 6th Printing PHB!

Alas, it was not my 6th Printing PHB. But it is a nice new crisp leather blacksmith apron, wire brush, stock bending tool, and blacksmithing for dummies book. All good things to keep me occupied until tomorrow, when again, I will wait for the postal carrier and my 6th Printing PHB.

Until then, I will go out back fill the forge with coal, heat some metal and bend some hot iron. Its good to have 2 hobbies. One to stress over an the other for releasing stress. Ok, where was that big hammer.....

So how exactly does one order the new PH6, or Codex Nordica for that matter? I can't find either on the TLG Store.

Wait for them to be made available to the general public. Which I am guessing will be after they get them all shipped out to their backers, and have time to breathe.

*sigh* I got home and, alas, no book!! (picture me clutching pearls and pushing the back of my hand against my forehead as I faint.)

For reference, I'm a 40 year old 220 pound 5'6" man with a crew cut and a goatee.

On second thought, perhaps you don't want to picture that.

In order to stop me putting these horrible images in your head, send me my 6th printing book :P

Mine arrived in Maine today! The Trolls most definitely corrected that hard to read print problem with the 5th printing. As has been mentioned before that text pops off the page! Very excellent.

Drat, I'm in the sub-$99 bracket, so I guess I will have a few days to wait... :( Good to know, I've been watching the mail car drive away for a week, thinking it might show up that day!

To all of you who have received their new book or live in the US and are still waiting on your package which will arrive any day now, I say with this will affection and respect:

SHUT UP!

Some people who reside in far away lands will have to wait a long wait before they see their beloved books. ;)

Seriously, though, I'm happy it's getting out and I'll be happier when I get the PDF to tie me over till I receive my books.

What I would love to see in this thread are PICTURES damn it!

If you've received a leather copy of the book ... I want to see what it looks like! I also want to see many different samples of what the inside looks like! I saw a couple of pictures posted on FB but I need more to help maintain my resolve.

Please help a fellow out here!

Yours truly (with tongue firmly planted in cheek),

Two packages awaited me on my front step when I returned home today. One was a box containing goodies from TLG! It wasn't the PHB, but instead A11 & A12. The other package was Gygax Magazine issue # 4.

They will tide me over for now, but I am reaching Snoring Rock-levels of antici..
