Customized CK screens?
Customized CK screens?
I have no doubt at least a few of you have done customized CK screens, please share them with me.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: Customized CK screens?
There used to be one or two on the DF C&C downloads; I haven't looked if they're still up. I imagine so. Also, they had some C&C character sheets too. Maybe you're looking for something more in line with the most recent "core release" though so they might be out to Julian's pasture.

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

Re: Customized CK screens?
I had an idea for customized gm's screen from Troll Lord Games. "Your screen, your way". Sounds cool, but I doubt the Trolls have that kind of time.
Re: Customized CK screens?
I'm not used to the CnC screen that came with something I ordered, but its got pretty good detail. Are you after mods to that? A word doc what?
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

.doc or PDF. I know I've seen some in the past, just wondering what is out there now.

Re: Customized CK screens?
There is a good RPG company that currently sells customizable GM screens. Not sure if we are supposed to list links to other companies sites but it is a tri-fold black vinyl landscape screen with six pockets for you to insert your own printed artwork or text. It is sturdy and you can change information when you like. I use and love them.

Seconded. I have yet to use this for my C&C games as I like the landscape ones TLG produced, but I have used it for the d6 Star Wars RPG I ran for my son's birthday parties the last two years.Warunsun wrote:There is a good RPG company that currently sells customizable GM screens. Yep - I use one for my Basic/Expert D&D game - I have a landscape one, but they also make portrait versions and a mini version as well. They are made by Hammerdog Games - here is a link to the product page: The World's Greatest GM Screen

Re: Customized CK screens?
I remember there were a few docs and pdfs out there, I printed them out pretty small and took snapshots of some tables from the PH and got some large foam board and hinges and threw one together. I ran out of room for equipment so made a pocket in it and had it printed on index cards. The problem was there were too many tables and I never got familiar with where they were so ended up looking everything up anyway. It was a fairly good shield, though.
I haven't run across any new ones lately.

That's what I have -- the landscape one. I just used the word landscape to differentiate which set of TLG C&C screens I use.DMSamuel wrote:Zudrak wrote:Seconded. I recommend the customizable screens to anyone who can print/draw some cool art on one side for the players (along with maybe a sheet of the weapons and armor for game purposes) and great tables for the CK on the other.

Re: Customized CK screens?
I hemmed and hawed for so long over those plastic screens, but I always use a screen when I play, and I play a lot of games that don't offer them. I have one in landscape and one in portrait and I use them for every face to face game now. Also, they don't tip over when someone throws dice at you. Unless the dice are very big. And then I'm at least glad it's the screen and not me.
Sometimes I use both.
