Dragon treasure rating

Post by Portly Fighter »

Hey guys,

On age 12 dragons, the treasure rating is 18x10. Does this mean I should roll on the 18 treasure table and multiply anything there by 10?

I make 10 separate rolls and add them together. A dragon of that stature would be one the major beings on any world after all. It would probably have unique magic items of great power, etc.

I just multiply by 10. I'm lazy.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Come on Tree. How many age level 12 Dragons have you had to roll treasure for? 8-)

But, I would hand pick the major magic items even if simply multiplying for the cash & gems.

Thanks guys, my world is only going to have 8 dragons that are pretty near immortal, so they will have tons of treasure. You won't be fighting A dragon it will be THE dragon.

Yeah, the coins, gems, and other non magic stuff, I just roll and multiply. For magic, I still multiply by 10, but I won't roll and let them have 10 swords at +5, or 10 Staves of the Magi. I still roll, but I decide if its something I'll allow them to have multiples of. Like, I'll let them have 10 potions of Flying, or 10 scrolls with fireballs, lightning bolts, etc... on them, but I won't let them have 10 scrolls with 9th level spells on them, etc... So I do control what magic items they do get.
