C&C in My Dreams
So I had a dream that Litzen and I were running around the Troll Lord Games warehouse, looking for the Prophecy of Dragons folio. Of course, the warehouse was the size of a Lowe’s. And we were rushed for time because we had to catch a Greyhound bus at a certain time.
Heh.

Re: C&C in My Dreams

Also, cliched campaign beginnings: "You find yourself in a bus depot with several other questionable characters..."

About 15 years ago I came into LAX really late and took a Supershuttle home. One of the stops to drop off a person on the way was in East LA at the Greyhound bus depot. All I can say is, You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy in the USA...Zudrak wrote:Litzen Tallister wrote:Worst random encounter tables ever.Zudrak wrote: The World of Greyhound. Sounds like a thief-only campaign, like the one I am running in HH/Eskadia.
My experience (thankfully) is limited to short times spent in Philly & Atlantic City.
*shudder*

I believe the title of this thread is incorrect.
You were at a Greyhound Bus Station.... sounds like "C&C in my Nightmares" to me!

Heh, yeah, nightmare is more like it. I spent way too much time going places on Greyhound buses when I was younger. Each bus station seemed to have its own unique flavor of awfulness. Never again.

I'll have you know that numerous copies of Haunted Highlands CK Guide travelled in the luggage compartment of a Greyhound in the wee hours before GenCon. True story. I was there.

Now, that is proper "seasoning" for those books.tylermo wrote:I'll have you know that numerous copies of Haunted Highlands CK Guide travelled in the luggage compartment of a Greyhound in the wee hours before GenCon. True story. I was there.
Re: C&C in My Dreams
The truth of the matter is, I took at bus from my hometown to St. Louis to save on gas and wear and tear, as well as parking for my vehicle. Friends met me in St. Louis, and we drove to GenCon from there. Either way, I took along some needed HH CK guides from the TLG Southeast Missouri warehouse. That's how they briefly ended up in the luggage compartment of a Greyhound bus.
Lugging those huge tomes was a lot of fun.

Re: C&C in My Dreams
So I had another C&C dream. It started off with a paladin getting attacked by an ogre and stuffed into a giant burlap sack (I’m guessing my brain took that from the Snatchers of Bloodborne). It then zooms back to a bunch of us sitting around a table, playing C&C. I’m the one playing the paladin. I make a strength check to get out of the bag. What do I roll? One. Yeesh. I get stuffed deeper into the bag. But then, I notice I have the spell “Oxygen” memorized on my character sheet. I cast the spell to use the increase in pressure to free myself. Unfortunately, I woke up before I found out if it worked.

The best part of that story is that you got stuffed further into the bag on a natural one!Jyrdan Fairblade wrote:So I had another C&C dream.
