@ Zudrak, a more thorough answer: Yarr is based on Dagger RPG for kids, so yes, its great for kids as young as 5. Like anything, you can add thematic elements or adventure and setting details that would raise the minimum age. But as written, the Corebook and all other stuff is rules light and safe for kids as young as 5 or 6.

{cart before the horse} some time in 2015, hopefully early, I'll be releasing an advanced edition of Yarr (tentatively called Yarr! Black Flag edition, or -perhaps just "Black Flag") and it will be more rulesy (still rules light) and have guidance for "rating" content as part of it's license. I hope people jump on board (nyuk nyuk) and write licensed stuff for it. or something.

Stupid world and its economy forcing me to work when I want to play MOAR games than I already do! (which is two campaigns very sporadically.)
