Reaper Miniatures CAV: Strike Operations

Post by TheMetal1 »

So another Reaper Mini's kickstarter is out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/15 ... operations

But this time it's Big, Stompy Robots. I figured I'd jump in as I managed to get Catylast Game Lab's Classic BattleTech Starter Box a few years ago and had fun playing it (primarily as a mini vs. hex game). I invested in Total War, Tech Manual, Tactical Operations and Strategic Operations.

I've only glanced at the new CAV manual (Mostly fluff) and watched the demo video. It seems fun and it looks like the minis will be somewhat interchangeable as the scales are close.

Anyone else jumping on this?

Anyone played CAV before and have any thoughts on the rules and game play?

Yes, I am jumping in. I also plan on using them in my Cthulhu Tech game as more Mech options. Yes, there are Mechs in Cthulhu Tech.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael
