Ever do this:

Purchase stuff for various games over the years with the thought that you'll eventually run them/play them?

Well friends, I just spent the last while going through some gaming boxes and pulled out LOADS o' C&C stuff I'd purchased using the above philosophy.

C&C digest versions, endless adventures, etc.

Heck: even some ol' Savage Sword Conan stuff and comics were in the mix.

That is part of why I wanted to set up a game room, and have everything out on shelves, so I will be constantly reminded of what I already own, and won't buy it again because it lies forgotten in a storage box. Now I have to figure out how to do something similar for my PDF's. Thankfully most websites, like Drivethru and Paizo, now tell me how I have already gotten that PDF.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

Yeah, I almost repurchased Monsters & Treasures of Aihrde, and it turns out I own it both in softcover and mini digest versions...

I'm like Tree, I do have a game room to game of course but also to have all the stuff out. Yet I still manage to buy duplicates. Just did it this week. I ended up getting the new 2014 Space Hulk, which I never had, but saw White Doom Mountain for Hackmaster. I thought it was one of the ones I didn't have, but much to my chagrin, I now am the proud owner of two.

It takes time, kind of, but thats what I use Board Game Geek for to keep track of my collection. It helps.

Although I just started putting the info of my RPG collection into BGG's other side RPGgeek.

I don't have a ton of video games but they have that as one of the three different tabs on the top of the page.

The down side the RPG side isn't fully fleshed out. So when you go to input the "version" you have it might not be present. You of course can submit the different version but it just adds time.

This is the case with a lot of the C&C stuff. It might have that it has a PDF version but not a physical and so on. I just finished adding my collection into it and now will be updating RPGgeek if its missing different version of something so I can get "my collection" correct.

I still buy duplicates though. I ended up with a double Numenera Bestiary...just sold it at Gencon though.

Just above the "Versions" on the page of the product; usually just below the description, it say "add new version" or something along those lines.

Then you enter the information for said version. Then it has to be approved.

Its not to time consuming when actually start doing it, I also try to get a pic of the cover or something if different.
