A big TWO THUMBS UP. I am happy they took feedback and fixed it up before sending it to printers.

Thanks to all who threw their hat in the ring and helped us make this an even better book!

I know its been a little delayed, but worth it I think.

And thanks to Traveler for the long, tired hours!

Looks good. I'm very happy that the Trolls gave out this book to backers to do a final edit, grammar, and layout check. Is it perfect? What Trollish product is? But I can tell you, that even though I am not completely happy with the edits made, this is by far one of the best TLG books to date, and is right up there with the PHB as one of the finest. Great job Steven Ege - thank you for your diligence, and a big tank you to all that provided feedback and errata checking assistance with this. All of you have made my C&C experience better.

I love how the entire Table of Contents is linked in the PDF. I don't have to manually add them to this "printing"!

Also, I decided to update my magic item creation rules that use the 2 methodologies given in M&T. (Tree will be happy no doubt).

O, your response was the type of thing I was hoping to hear as a result. If I helped make your game better, then I know I've done my job. I actually was thinking about the "perfection" issue as I was taking my last look through the book before Steve sent it off to the printers. All I can say is that it's gotta be my OCD kicking in. ;)

In all seriousness though, we all need to keep in mind that even at the beginning, Castles & Crusades was better edited than the d20 system and, dare I say it, even AD&D itself. My thoughts about the perfection issue ran along the lines of remembering that out of the seventeen printings of the AD&D Player's Handbook, only two errors were ever corrected. At the same time, Gary and the gang at TSR didn't have access to word processing and layout programs. They had to do things the Palladium Books way (cut and paste layout).

We're spoiled today because Steve can send me a copy of Monsters & Treasure via email on a Saturday to take a final look through, make comments as appropriate, and send the results back to him on Monday. From there it's a matter of making the changes and off to the printer it goes. We're spoiled because today we can do something that WotC could have done in 1999, but chose not to: fix the product for the next printing. There are few, if any companies I know of that actually will make changes in their books for the sake of keeping them up to date and fresh. For that, the Trolls deserve major applause.

How many of us caught the word "saevs" at one point? I think Stephen was just testing us. Good job to all involved, especially Traveller and the Arkansas Trolls.

I just got it this afternoon and haven't had a chance to go thru it in depth, but I did see that the magic item section now gives 3 options for how you determine saves for rods, staffs, and wands. That is a big plus as far as I'm concerned. If the CKG turns out as nice as the PHB and M&T, I'll have to get them in hardback.

The CKG is going to be a big challange. But, I hope that it turns out just like this version of the M&T. Wow, that would be so cool.

Along the line of the M&T and the kick starter.. I THINK I put enough $$ into the kick starter way back when to get a free copy of the M&T when it was done.... is that link and method to down load a free copy out to us yet and how the heck do I confirm if I get a free copy or not? Oh my poor old mind just does not remember such things these days...

I'm looking forward to it, I want a copy, but if my kickstarter gets me one for free, I'd like that sooner than later and not pay for a pdf now... I just can't recall or know how to check if I get one for free..

You have to pay additional bribe money to the Troll under the bridge to get each successive item after the first.

Seriously, they should be in the process of sending out links and physical books. Shouldn't be long now.

Didn't work, I logged in and it still tells me $20.99. Did others get links from the trolls for free down loads of M&T in pdf? I assume the hard copies have not been mailed yet.

I didn't get a link. It was just waiting in my Library to be downloaded. I don't think they've sent out most of the emails yet.
