Infinity Wars

Post by Julian Grimm »

This is more for the card players out there but it has some interesting ideas for mining as well.

Infinity Wars is a digital card game I found on Steam. The game is free and does not follow the typical free model; ever card in the game is free and available with in game currency. All you need to do is play to begin getting cards. I went from a 50 card collection to over 400 in a few hours of play and have only bought one booster pack so far. Though I am saving up for a Sleeper deck (Think Phyrexia from Magic).

PvP is available and is quite fun. I have played a few games and have found this is the quickest way to get currency and XP. There are other modes which help you get cards such as campaign which helps you learn the factions and get starter decks. Again there is no 'Pay to Win' model in the game although you can get access to more powerful and rare cards by paying a small amount ( 88 cents for 125 points is the lowest tier).

The game has a couple issues with crashing but I only had it crash once during a 3 hour marathon session. It also lags a bit but that may be my connection. Even with those issues I have not lost anything.

If this sounds like your thing you can find it on Steam or here.

You can also find me on Steam with the name Jdsherrer or on the game with the name JulianGrimm.

P.S. I also forgot about the free weekly decks. You don't get to keep the cards but these are decks you can use if you don't have many cards and help get through campaigns and challenges. You can also use them in certain PvP modes.

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06
