Hi Rhuvein,
I lurk rather than post, but my dad died on the 29th of January. He was pretty much riddled with cancer through his bowel, bladder, prostate and liver. The first any of us knew about it was when he fell ill on New Years Day; twenty-eight days later, Game Over. He was sixty-two, very fit and active, very happy and relaxed.
We're all just blown away. But I know we'll be okay because we've got good family. I'm glad you do too. And it looks like you've got a pretty good "family" here and all.
Hang in there, mate.

It is good to hear she held on till the addition to the clan. The granddaughter will at least have a new guardian angle watching out for her.

Imho, with friends and family members in the medical field ... chemo at her age may do more harm than good. We were in a similar situation here with my fiance's grandmother. She's mid-70s I believe and we opted not to go ahead with that procedure only because we wanted her to not have what maybe the rest of life in pain.
That being said, if it is a desperate measure I can understand. You need to weight the risk and reward of the situation.
Whatever the case maybe, life sometimes is about letting go. No regrets I say. Do what you feel you need to do.

My sincerest condolences, Rhuvein. I realize that there aren't any words I can say that can actually make things any easier for you in this difficult time, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

Re: My Mom has gone to Heaven.
Hey Rhuvein,
I just caught this thread and I wish to pass along belated sympathy. My father died of cancer when I was 17, and it is tough to see a parent go that way I know.
Time and prayer surely does help.
Sincerely,
Gary

Many condolences. I didn't know your mother, but I know she did not die in vain. You are now her evidence of a life well lived. You are her immortality. Make her proud. Pass her memory to your decendants. She has left her mark on this world and left it better than it was before.
Carry on the tradition. Best wishes to you and yours.

Thanks for your comments and indeed, there are a great bunch of people here that I do consider family. Glad to have you join us and the Crusade!

Late as I am to this, you have my sympathies, condolences, and ear should you want or need them. My father died when I was but 11, and that experience has forever clouded my perceptions of reality. And, for that, I must say: you have memories, and many wonderful moments to cherish. Hold them. The pain will wash aside over time, but will not vanish. Nor, should it. Anyway... I'm not much for being "nice", so, please, let me know if there's anything I could try to do.
