If it's Friday, and you want to paste a new spell in this thread, go ahead.
To start with:
Aergraith's Delicious Diversion (Illusionist 0)
CT 1
Range: 25 ft.
SV (Intelligence Negates)
SR Yes
Duration: 1d4+1 rounds
COMP: V, M (a piece of cake)
The caster creates a piece of food that would be regarded as worth stopping for. A lion might see a struggling gazelle, a noble might see a very rare wine and expensive cheese. A dragon might see a trussed up adventurer covered in elf sauce. An otyugh might see a big pile of... well, things it likes to eat. Failing one's save doesn't guarantee the subject will eat it, but predators of animal intelligence are likely to prefer the meal to a fleeing adventurer.
There is enough food created to occupy a creature of any appetite for the duration of the spell. The food disappears and provides no nourishment when the duration expires.

Re: New Spell Friday
Great idea, but the "False Trap" was all I got tonight... next time, would be a great thing to keep rolling in...
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.
Re: New Spell Friday
For the listed level, it is way too powerful. Basically a maze effect, assuming whatever is attracted goes for the "feast." Likewise, the effect is already available using various images if all it does is conjure the appearance of a tasty morsel. If it adds scent, heat, and other senses than it is more powerful than most 1st level illusions that do one or the other, not all combined.
But... conceptually, I like it. It would be a good way to explain how to use an illusion as opposed to needing to be a completely separate spell.
And yes, I am the naysayer. I'm an ass.

Re: New Spell Friday
Yeah, my justification was that's its sort of like Ghost Sound, you might follow it, you might not. What level should it be?

Re: New Spell Friday
Arduin's Dark & Hot, Illusionist 2, Wizard 1
CT 1 R touch D 2 hours/level
SV none SR yes Comp V, S, M
This spell causes a fire to burn with flickering black flames. The caster touches the piece of wood, wick/candle or torch to be lit. Upon lighting, the flames emit no light beyond a faint, black flicker that can only be seen if within 3' of the flames. If cast on a piece of wood for use starting a camp fire or small fire pit, the spell effects all flames within a 2' radius. This spell cannot be used to 'darken' an existing fire. The material component is a pinch of lampblack.
