I'm pushing start time back 30 minutes. I think the Mrs had a rough day with her family.

Better make it an hour. Mary is just getting home. Or, if Tree doesn't mind running A&8s, just start without me and I'll join when I can.

I won't level again until we get into the 35,000+ range.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Yeah, we should be about to the levels where the single classed guys will start to pull a head of the multiclass guys by a level or two.

Just looking back at a few posts and noticed we picked up a ring of protection +2 at some point. Is anyone using that? Trying to figure out how to boost my AC without losing the ranger skills. It would be nice to decrease my "aura of hitability". Good thing I can't hit anything in return or I'd be dangerous...

I think your right. The only thing I can say for sure is, I don't have it.

I got a shift-change at work, my new hours will not allow me to play Monday nights as I will be just getting out after 11 pm Eastern. It's going to be this way for a few months at the least, hopefully sometime in the Fall I will be back to 1st shift. Had fun playing with you guys, someone can play Kelidor if they wish, or have him disappear for a while (something I'd rather have him do, but if he is absolutely needed, I understand). If there is still an opening when my hours change, I'd like to come back in the future.

Sorry I couldn't make it. It was just a crazy day dealing with problems caused by last nights storms.

Master Sorley Derwyn is a younger son a the Belmae Family. A family made up of minor nobles and upper class merchants and traders. Growing up he spent his time between the required family schooling and traveling down the river from P'Bapar down to the port of Baneta on the river boats, and returning in the armed trading caravans back to the mountain city of his home. He made these trips at least 2 to 3 times a year from the age of 15 till his 18th summer while at the times not traveling he was learning that which a young noble needs to know in the Duke's court. In this time he was content, but felt something missing.
The summer trip of his 18th birthday, while in Baneta, a hasty fleet was thrown together to dislodge a group of pirates & slave traders harassing trade in Elos bay. To his own surprise, he decided to join the expedition . In this summer, though he had fought minor skirmishes in the mountains and along the river and trade routs, he saw his first real combat and first combat on ships.
In one such fight his ship lead the attack on a crippled pirate ship, and Sorley was on the boarding party. They won the attack, but in it he was gravely injured. Luckily, among the slaves there was an old man and his granddaughter/ward – a elder Cleric of the Bright Eyed Traveler, and his young acolyte. They with blessing from their voyage loving god, save Sorley's life.
Master Sorley, having a strange fevered dream of wandering in dark fog lost and confused, then seeing an ancient bald smiling traveler looking up to the bright shining pole star, awoke to the old clerics prayer for healing, and the girls soft touch washing away the combat's blood & gore . That second what he had been missing was found, and the emptiness was filled. The cleric gladly took him to the temple of the Traveler in Baneta and began to teach him the prayers to the god.
With his years long knowledge of traveling, and his inherent wisdom and wordy knowledge, Master Sorley quickly learned the lessons of the Voyaging God, and within months had out striped many of the other acolytes that had been studying st the temple for 2 or 3 years. However, his open and friendly personality helped to keep too may of his peers from becoming too jealous. In just over a year he was skilled enough in the religious teachings to travel on his own without a senior cleric guiding him.
Master Sorley again began to travel the caravan routs and river banks he traveled as a youth . In them he quickly fell in with his family's traders and found easy passage to anywhere his star watching god sent him in the young Kingdoms.
In this time he met and befriended a young Raniarian ostracized from his city for 10 years because of family and political intrigue. He traveled with the Ranairan Bravo – Lupa – through the young kingdoms and back to P'Bapar. He planned on traveling further with the swashbuckler, but was called to remain in the mountain city to improve the temple to the Voyager in the city, and to aid the city in repelling various goblin bands harassing the southern reaches of the city's realm.
8 months passed in these works, but 2 months ago Master Sorley felt the pull of his god's pole star toward the dissent west and then south west. As such he traveled down the windward side of the mountains to Cosolen, Capital of Cosdol. From there he easily found room on a merchant ship.
The ship was headed south, but no surprise to Master Sorley, it was blown off course to a island - what ever the island we are now on is named - . However, to his surprise, while walking the streets of the village at the bay the ship found harbor in ( and the ship captain quickly began trading with the leaders of the village) Master Sorley Derwym Cleric of the Bright Eyed Traveler, saw his young swashbuckling friend of Zoa , a strange tall silver skinned 'human' a woodsman, a half orc barbarian, and a elf bowmaster walking down the street, bantering joking and debating

As long as Tree wants to keep to the same schedule, it should be my game this Monday (8/1/16).

Yes. Especially since I am going into Tucson for yet another appointment Monday afternoon. So it would simply be "safest" to stick with the schedule.

Does a cleric have/need a spell book like a magic user, or does he just pray for the spells he wants each day out of the list of spells he has access too?

Pray. Only wizards and illusionists need spellbooks.

Great game last night. I figured we were done for when there were 10 drow in the first tomb, but good tactics saved the day on that.
My cleric did better than I thought he would. Good hits with his mace and the cure wounds with my staff. He is no Lupa .... but still a good asset to the party.
