Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
The poll is a little broad. I use hero and luck points. I think that's it. If my players' PCs ever hit high level, I'll presumably use the high level class descriptions.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
Yeah, that's too broad. I use some things, but not everything. And some of the stuff I'm using, I've modified.

Lol, my poll stands.
The way I see it, if you've use anything from it, I consider that the CKG was a valid resource for your games.

Then, going by your "limited view," yes I do use the CKG.slimykuotoan wrote:Lol, my poll stands.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
Yes, in my online game last year. I would use more of it if I ever ran another face to face game.

I am the one who uses nothing from it.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Well... it is written in English, mostly, and I do use letters, so I guess I use at least 26 things.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
I would think only our own games counted, not those ran by others. Do I PLAY in games where CKG rules are used? Yes. Do I use CKG rules in the games I run? Nope.slimykuotoan wrote:Waaaaait a second. I have used the CKG as a big source of inspiration for my games.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
I use the critical hits and fumble rule from it. Advantages will probably be used (and are noted in my house rules) but I haven't used them yet.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
What I use from the CKG in my more rules heavy game (so far):
Secondary skills
Advantages
Critical hits (Option 4 "Roadhouse" variant)
Secondary & tertiary attributes
Expanded class levels (if or when it comes into play)
Attributes scores table (covers scores of 19-30)
A lot of the guidelines on Illusions
Wand, staff, rod recharging
Optional rules on ambushing and surprise
Combat maneuvers
Luck and hero points
Dwarven, elven, etc. crafted arms and armor
...and I might be adding in more as time goes on.

I've not yet adopted any of the options from the CKG but I'm considering a couple of them.

Re: Do you use the Castle Keepers Guide?
I voted "No" because the question is too broad. I have read it before and attempted to use bits and pieces of it. For the most part I don't use it but I have referenced it. I have used advantages in one campaign but not as presented in the CKG because I don't care for that presentation. It was also troublesome a bit since it was several printings behind the Player's Handbook when my group started Castles & Crusades. I am looking forward to getting the newly produced and hopefully superior edited and updated one with the rest of the C&C Kickstarter goodies. I will take a good look at it again when I have the new one in my hands.
