They are plagues upon humans and demi-humans alike, competing ever for resources, or simply existing as a scourge upon the lands they dwell upon... be they lizard men, orcs, or the like.
Pour moi, I've come to enjoy lizardy, marshy guys muchly.
So I'm gonna go with the wuggs from Verdant Rage (bullywugs) as my favorites.
What about thou then?

For low level, Gnolls. For higher levels, the Slaadi.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Back in the day, I loved kobolds - for their ability to play very dirty and use tricks and traps to hold their own against bigger tougher monsters/characters.
You all beat me to gnolls for higher level. I like them so much I've kicked around the idea for my homebrew to bring in the 'Wolfen' race from Palladium as a player race. Of course there would deep hatred between the Gnolls and the Wolfen.
My oddball is draconiains from Dragonlance.

Glass blowing, trap making, Shaman heavy Kobold packs with green slime glass bottles, traps, brutish monster "pets", and military tactics and just enough magic to scare or worry the PCs..
But the most dangerous Humanoid is still man with levels or even scarier humanoids with levels.. ogre fighter, kobold shaman, orc ranger, Troop of Hobgoblin Monks, or an ogre mage wizard.
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.
Wasn't there a Finneous Fingers and Halfling thieves.. something about Foster Grants and a "Wand of Automatic Magic Missiles"? Wow, what a trip down memory lane.. thanks Serleran.

I'm partial to goblins. And hobgoblins. I like organizing them. Plus, slap a couple of levels of something on them, and they become a bit more deadlier.
I've always thought sahuagin were awesome. Orcs, goblins, gnolls, are evil as a byproduct. They are crude, selfish, mean, savage beasts that don't care about anything or anybody, ergo evil. Sahuagin are really, really evil. Like, they actively worship devils. They watch slaves get eaten by sharks for funsies. They raid human coastal towns and just massacre people, women and children included, for the sake of just being evil sonsabitches. As a race, I like sahuagin the best.
Also partial to kobolds because they can just be so devious.
In my current campaign, the Sahuagin are the major enemies. I took a break from using them, but perhaps I need to remind the PCs of how vicious they are.

Your on the wrong RPG site for that!
While I like the Drow, and like using them, they are not my favorite, and I have at least 10 "monsters" I'd list before getting to the Drow.
