Re: What cartoons do you like?
I haven't really watched cartoons since my kids were young. Back then they got me into Anime, such as Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, and others...
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: What cartoons do you like?
Watch a lot of anime. Lately though, the last few seasons have just fallen flat. Some good source material...but the studio execution SUCKED!
I've pretty much given up on 99% of American cartoons as piss poor art and toilet humor drivel. Gone are the days of Bugs Bunny and Woody Woodpecker etc.

I agree with you on the 99%
However, thanks to dvr, dvd, and the internet, you can still get the good ole cartoons.
Luckily I've gotten my girls hooked on them and taught them that sponge bob etc etc etc aren't worth their time. On top of that my girls like 3,2,1, penguins & vegie tales.

Transformers (80's), She Ra, Robotech, Dungeons & Dragons -and Jem and the Holograms for some strange reason- were all cartoons I watched regularly as a we lad.
As I aged, Spiderman and X-Men were favs.
Heck, I was sooo desperate for fantasy, I even watched Gummi Bears back in the day.

Re: What cartoons do you like?
Actually, I asked Damage Devil why in the hells it was that I watched Jem, and as it turns out, the cartoon came on just before Transformers at the time, and because I was terrified I'd miss the intro, I became a regular Jem and the Holograms watcher.

My youngest son and I sat down for like two days to watch the unedited versions when he came across them.concobar wrote:Cowboy Bebop

All the usual suspects: Bugs Bunny, Home Movies, Family Guy, American Dad, Cleveland Show. I enjoyed Futurama and South Park back in the day, but I'm pretty burned out on them.

Re: What cartoons do you like?
Apart from Anime and Warner classics I'm quite fond of Kung-fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.
Back in the 70s I watched all kinds of stuff though: Space Ghost, Shazzan and Thundarr are the ones that stuck.

Re: What cartoons do you like?
Okay, I'll play.
As a kid in the 60's I inhaled Bugs Bunny, Popeye and Hanna-Barbera daily. Even the crusty old black & white Fleischer stuff they played as filler. They still resonate with me today and I often catch myself 'stealing lines' or making references to cartoons that haven't been aired in 40 years.
Today, I will admit to getting a charge out of some of the cartoons that seem to dominate late night cable TV. One that I particularly enjoy is the The BRAK SHOW. It's off-the-wall, has a sort of 60's Space Ghost vibe, totally inexplicable, but is just so damn cute you have to laugh.
The potty-mouth hipster stuff just doesn't do it for me. "Yes, I'm looking at you Family Guy and Archer!"

Currently, I dig Adventure Time, Attack on Titan, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Archer, and Bob’s Burgers. I guess I like cartoons that begin with the letter A...

Re: What cartoons do you like?
If we are including anime as cartoons, I would certainly have a lot to list. Here are some of my favorite cartoons of all time:
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Cowboy Bebop
Robotech
G.I. Joe: Resolute
Attack on Titan
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003
Gunsmith Cats OVA
Record of the Lodoss War (original), the OFFICIAL Mentzer Basic D&D anime!
To name just a few.

Re: What cartoons do you like?
Don't watch cartoons much anymore. My kids used to watch Phineas & Ferb, which was good. My favorites were Bugs Bunny, Johnny Quest, Thundarr, Speed Racer, and going back to the depths of time, an old Japanese classic called Prince Planet.
