Yes, I am resisting the temptation to necro some threads, but I just have to say: There is quite a bit of good stuff here.

Lots of good old threads....
I have been going backwards and reading some of the older threads. There is some great conversations and ideas just waiting to be mined out of there.

Well, we are a rambling bunch. And the beauty of C&C is that you can tweak it as much as you want and it won't break.

Re: Lots of good old threads....
Please feel free to resurrect older threads. I think most of us don't mind since most of us probably commented in them!!

Resurrection is always worth the attempt. Besides, it saves a point of Constitution.

This does make me curious, I wonder what the average age of active members is on this forum.Lurker wrote:You beat me to it .... Probably ranges from young fellows like me (18 and I like it . . ) to old bastards around 59!Daniel wrote:This does make me curious, I wonder what the average age of active members is on this forum.Lurker wrote:You beat me to it .... Methuselah has nothing on some of the folks here.
I, for example, am older than I would like to be guessed.

I don't care if folks know how old I am as long as they don't hold it against me. LOL

I'll be 50 before too long, and damn glad I reached it, if I do!
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I'm closer to 100 than to 1.

I can say that as well.Arduin wrote:I'm closer to 100 than to 1.
But the real fun question is how close to 100 are we.

According to the wiki I found, average US male life expectancy is 77. 64% of the way to dead for me...
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

I'm the same age as Rob Kuntz and Gail Gygax!

Re: Lots of good old threads....
That figure isn't to what age a male is going to live once they make to adulthood. That is an average. It figures in infant/child death, etc. An almost useless figure by itself.Captain_K wrote:According to the wiki I found, average US male life expectancy is 77. 64% of the way to dead for me...

Re: Lots of good old threads....
Well. This thread took a depressing turn: I wasn't expecting to scroll down the page and come face to face with my own mortality.
On a brighter, if somewhat related, note: I'm glad to see the members of this board don't mind resurrecting old posts. I'm also a newbie around here and would love to put my $.02 in some of the threads that have come and gone, but I've been taken to task many times on other boards for that, so I've always been leery about it. It's exciting to see that this board is different... I may have to do some mining a little later!
