5th edition Warlock for C&C

Post by ssfsx17 »

First draft: https://sites.google.com/site/x17rpgstu ... ss-warlock

Also wrote a new Otherworldly Patron for good characters.

A lot of the spells look like they are exclusive to 3rd/5th edition, so I will need to convert them too someday.

Don't forget to check the C&C Companion, it has TONS of spells, and I think there is a version of the Warlock in it as well, just not a 5E conversion.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Dumb question, but where can we find the C&C Companion?

The Crusader's Companion has two variants of the Sorcerer, and the Witch, but I didn't see the exact word "Warlock". I'll check it again.

You might also want to search these forums for The Arcanum conversion I put up which has several spells and some classes you might want to rip elements from.

Cool - found it here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12616

I will definitely be looking through it if I ever get some spare time at work today!

Meanwhile - I also wrote a warlock who is more of a mix of the Wizard, 3.5e Warlock, 5e warlock, and how I thought a lot of the warlock powers should have worked - https://sites.google.com/site/x17rpgstu ... ed-warlock

I'm really digging your efforts here ssfsx17. Nice conversion work. This is the type of class that fits in very well with my style of C&C game.

Old thread necro'ed, I know, but I have a couple of 5E players who want me to run a game for them and I was thinking of doing both 5E and C&C versions of their characters to see if I can sell them on C&C instead. No problems with the Barbarian or the Monk, as each has a direct C&C equivalent, but the Warlock was giving me fits and I happened upon this thread.

In the C&C Companion I don't see a "warlock" per se, but I do see a "demonist" or some such. Is it fair to say that those are equivalent?

A little bump. Have folks done much with Warlock characters in C&C, or should I wing it?

I see a couple of options given earlier in the thread, but am not sure which have been properly playtested or not.
