Short Video of a famous gamer's basement

Post by Aramis »

Just stumbled on this video from a year ago.

With a short preview of the sights of Lake Geneva.

Looks nice, but a bit cold out Chicago way, Rhuvein!

Nice to see the locations that are part of a hobby that impacted my life so much.

Cool video.

Heh, last time I was there in March the ice was on the lake ~ but it was like 75+ degrees and I took my shirt off and sat on a bench. There is a nice trail that goes all the way around the lake. I've walked part of it.

I have seen Gary's 330 Center home, but that was very cool to get in there.

Incidentally, that DM upstairs is Paul Stormberg - great guy! He knows a crap ton about Gary and most, if not all the people that worked at TSR. Does auctions for many of them on ebay.

Back in '73, we would drive up to LG so we could drink legally at 18. Gary was inventing a great game and I was getting arrested and thrown into jail!

I mentioned this to Gary once and he busted out laughing!

Memories . .

I was lucky to get an extra ticket to play D&D with Paul at 330 Center Street that Gary Con. One of my friends somehow had two tickets and was nice enough to give the spare. It was a really neat experience. I'm still shocked that the new owner agreed to let us wander around her house.
