The newest CK Screens...

Post by Treebore »

I have to say I think the Trolls have finally gotten them pretty much perfect. Weather table, Wastage table from the CKG, all the weapons with their damage listed, all the surprise modifiers, all the Combat Maneuvers, light sources, how much effort it takes to break through a variety of walls per foot, Movement modifiers based upon terrain type, obstacles AND weather. Yeah, I think they finally have everything a CK could need on the screens, except the spells themselves.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I got them at the convention in Texas, NTRPGCon. I imagine they have them via their website.

I should also mention that on the Players side of the screens is where they list all the weapons and their damage, and range, as well as the Armors and the AC they give. In addition to the CK side of the screen, the Players side also has the Situational Combat Modifiers, Ranged Combat, Cover and Combat Maneuvers listed and their modifiers, as well as the Liquid Combat Damage for Acid, Flammable Gel, Flammable Liquids , Gas and Holy Water.

So really well formatted for use at the table.

I think I got the last one on Saturday, early in the day.

I love a good screen. This latest round of them from TLG definitely has great information. Using both sides is really nice, since it saves on rules searches/questions by having the players' side information containing the combat conditions/modifiers, which are some of the more frequently asked about questions at our gaming table.

Yeah, they only had a couple left on the rack when I picked mine up on Friday afternoon.

I also really like the dual two panel screens, as well. It is going to make it much easier to arrange the screens where I want them, whereas with a 4 panel screen I have to basically lay it down whenever I want to do anything on the table. Nice touch.

They are portrait, which is really the only thing I didn't like when I first got it. I'm finding that it isn't that big a deal, though, since it is two two-panel screens, instead of one four-panel screen.
