Incarnations for the Ghastly Affair RPG

Post by clavis123 »

How would it be if you...

Gambled with Death for the life of a loved one?

Were condemned to immortal misery by Life-in-Death?

Sold your soul to the Devil for wealth and power?

Now you can know.

You know you want to know.

Four recent posts on The Engine of Oracles blog presented guidelines for the bringing the embodied Incarnations of spiritual forces to Ghastly Affair, the Gothic Game of Romantic Horror.

Guidelines for presenting Incarnations in Ghastly Affair are here:
https://engineoforacles.wordpress.com/2 ... ly-affair/

Death is ready for a friendly wager:
https://engineoforacles.wordpress.com/2 ... -of-death/

The Night-mare Life-in-Death awaits the unwary:

The Devil wants to make a perfectly reasonable deal:

Note: Never acquiesce to requests for a “last dance” from an attractive stranger that you can't remember inviting to the party. Leave all albatrosses alone. Always consult your lawyer before signing any contracts involving your “immortal soul”. In fact, it might be a good time to go over your software User Agreements. Just in case.

Thanks! More Incarnations are planned of course, including Our Ladies of Sorrow (from De Quincey), the Dreaded Name Demogorgon, the sailor's demon Davy Jones, The Queen of the Night (from Mozart's “The Magic Flute”, and referenced in Highdark Hall), King Oberon, and great Pan who terrifies even the foulest demons.

Cool, I look forward to them!

However, I hate to admit a weakness ... I had to look up 'Ladies of Sorrow' & Mozart's version of 'The Queen of the Night' , That said, I like the idea of the Sorrows being the counter to the Graces ...
