Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Neat! As I’ve said before, I dig Shadowrun, but the rules, not so much. I’ll have to check it out.

The idea is cool, because like Jyrdan, I intensely dislike the tabletop Shadowrun RPG rules. Though I am a bit dismayed, because I do not really like the Pathfinder rules that much either. At least with the Pathfinder stuff, you could do a fairly easy conversion over to C&C/Amazing Adventures.Jyrdan Fairblade wrote:Neat! As I’ve said before, I dig Shadowrun, but the rules, not so much. Yeah, I want to like the SR rules, but they are just simply too much. I much rather do SR kind of games with Cortex Classic or the Interface Zero Savage Worlds material. The ease of converting PF to C&C/AA rules is the only reason I even DLed it.

It looks pretty good, even includes art and looks like its laid out for a real product, plus right now its free. I doubt the final version will be. Its more likely to be around $10.00.Omote wrote:Though, I think I will wait for the final version of IZ before downloading the Pathfinder version... unless, there the beta version rules are totally rez!

I can understand some disdain for the rules of Shadowrun seeing as they are disjointed in many ways, segregating player 1 from player 2... but the draw is not the system but the setting. Or is for me. Mostly. I do actually like that each "thing" has its own resolution... keeps it different and that difference is important. Why I primarily dislike later edition as they started to make tech and magic work together; they never should have.

Agreed, the setting of Shadowrun remains very cool. One of the reasons it’s still around is the blending of Cyberpunk and Fantasy – Cyberpunk is dated in a lot of ways (and that’s part of its charm, absolutely), but Shadowrun continues to remain fresh.
The whole segregation (magic, real world, matrix) really bothers me, especially in con play, where it seems like someone is always stuck sitting things out at any given moment.

Savage Worlds got a license to do Rifts. Can you imagine Savage Shadow Run? I wish.

I don't know. Considering how well done Interface Zero is, and how it already conveys a similar feel in the tech area that SR does, I'd give it a look.

Interface Zero is a Savage Worlds setting, being converted to PF. So yeah, even for SW.Omote wrote:Even for Savage Worlds?

Eh, I totally forgot. At one point, years ago, I think IZ was its own thing. Or attempted to be its own game.

It may have, I got into it with Savage Worlds, and am not aware of any history it may have prior to that.Omote wrote:Eh, I totally forgot. At one point, years ago, I think IZ was its own thing. Or attempted to be its own game.
