Call for Domesday submissions...

Post by Treebore »

As de Facto President of the C&C Society I am here by declaring a call to all fans of C&C to submit your ideas for publication in our Society Magazine, Domesday. What do I want to see? Everything. If its of use to a CK or player, I want to see it. Magic Items, new creatures, variants or conversions from other RPG's, or even variants of creatures we already have in C&C. Also, classes, as always. House Rules, with explanations and examples of how they work in a game session. Also adventures, written up locations such as shops, Inns, Smithies, etc... NPC write ups with hooks that can lead to adventure, and I also need to know who is willing to do artwork as well as who can do cartography, including stuff doen for and usable in VTT's. I also need someone who knows how to make PDF's that are filled with all the cool tools that make PDF's superior to print. I have a full PDF program from Nuance, but have no clue how to use the features, etc...

Format, make it look like the books as closely as you can. Files, I have OpenOffice, Libreoffice, Microsoft Office (2013) and Nuance PDF.

I want it for every rules system under the SIEGE engine, so C&C, Victorious, Star SIEGE and Advanced Adventures, as well as the future releases, etc...

Send all inquiries/submissions to tree bore the ruby lord at g mail

This is OUR digital magazine, so it will only be as great as we put in the effort for it to be. So lets make this worthy of industry awards.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

You may want to document submission guidelines. Not to stifle but to provide an idea of how you want things provided -- for example, if you want spell names bold and magic items in italics. It will save you a considerable amount of time pre-editing. Also, file format -- do you want RTF or DOCX? It may not matter to you, but that needs to be stated as I could send you something you can't open...

Exactly what I was going to ask. I am looking forward to submitting some things. Thanks!

Can you share some template files and examples for LibreOffice / OpenOffice?

Also - is there a fluff text requirement, or an "avoid copying the book" requirement? I'm going to try to submit some of my stuff from here: https://sites.google.com/site/x17rpgstuff/home

I am not aware of any templates specifically for C&C having been made. I think avoiding copying the book, any book, is a good idea, just referencing the book, printing, and page number should suffice.

I take the pdf versions of the book I want, copy the right section, with format, into word then strip out the words and replace with my own.. in this way my "character class" is formatted like a character class out of the latest PH. Do the same for monsters, magic items, race, etc. Now if I only liked that darn tan print and font.. luckily, I deal in black print on white page.
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

Let the efforts begin... OK tree, I'm in to help, assign me work, I'm happy to help with any task you assign to help you and your team make this happen. I may not be the best or fastest (especially with only one working hand right now), but I'll do my best to help!

Apologies if I am being dense, but we can write up material that references Troll products? Such as an ecclesiastical order that is made up of representatives of Airhde religious orders?

Since I will be submitting the zine to the Trolls for approval, yes. Can't say they will approve it for sure, but if it gets into the final version, it will be with their approval.

Unless things have changed, and I am not saying they have not as I am no longer on the vine, but all things related to Aihrde have to pass by Steve for any semblance of "officialness."

I'd stay away from things not clearly marked as Open. You might get the Trolls' approval, of course, and then do whatever... but that should not be the opening gate bell.

Tree,

Late to the party (internet is scattered at home) but I have a short adventure I'm trying to finish up to send. Is the submission call still open?

Everything I have posted that is not specifically for Ruins and Radiation (tm) [yeah, good luck finding it], could be considered which would mean the Arduin and The Arcanum conversion material, if desired.
