Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

This is my second dog to be nominated. The very first dog my wife and I raised, trained, and gave away was also nominated a few years back.

Congrats!
Last week I saw first hand how much service dogs help vets, so to be nominated 'top dog' - pun intended - is high praise!

If your working out of the Oklahoma City VA, your going to see a fair number of our dogs. They are easy to spot, they are the Russian Wolfhounds, and actually behave like real service dogs.Lurker wrote:Congrats!

However, the dog in my OP is a German Sheppard, and is outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the only Sheppard we have trained. We did a wolf hybrid once, at the insistence of the Veteran, Never again.78 of our 82 Service Dogs are Russian Wolfhounds, or as the AKC likes to call them, Borzoi, which is Russian for swift, because these guys can run 35 to 45 miles per hour.

Unfortunately, I don't work in the OKC VA Med site. I work over in the Muskogee VA federal administration building. As such, I don't see any of the vets on the health side of the house. It is all vets that need help fighting the va for reduction in benefits, the va misusing their own reges etc etc etc (and we both know how rare that is
So, I'll keep an eye out for your dogs and the vets they are helping.
