Character Editor

Post by MadCartographer »

Hi all,

I have been messing around with NBOS's Character Sheet Designer, and have made one for C&C.

The link to get and install CSD is:
http://www.nbos.com/products/character-sheet

Once you have that, follow the instructions in the unzip.txt file in my attached CandC.zip file and mess around with it.

Let me know what you think.

EDIT:
I updated the file 12-20-15

I've extracted it first to the nbos main folder, when that didn't work, I extracted it to the character sheet2 folder within nbos, when that didn't work, the character sheet folder, still doesn't work.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

Well that's where I have it. Try in the Documents folder like Aergraith did, sorry for the confusion.

Did you try it how Aergraith did it?

WIndows 10. When i say it worked for me, it still seems to be a development mode thing; I have to view a test sheet or something to use it, it doesn't work like the other ones, but I think I might just not know how to use the NBOS viewer.

Interesting, My son installed the program, then followed the instructions and it works just fine for him and he's on Windows 10 as well.

Unzip all the files to here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\nbos\CharacterSheet2 (this is my default install directory)

To install the CandC.csd
Open the Viewer
Click Open
Change the lower right corner section where it says
FROM: Character Sheets (*.character)
TO: Character Sheet Definitions (*.csd)
Open CandC.csd
It will ask you: Install "CandC"
Click Yes
It might as you if you want to overwrite... if not no worries
click Yes
You now have the sheet up and running...

You can EDit the .CSV files in the install directory if you want to add more "stuff" into the options, but if you do, ou need to open the file in the EDITOR and reset the pull down menu to the correct .csv file again and save to see your changes.

That should be it.
