Apparently, despite it being legally available for free for going on 16 years now, there are still gamers not aware that this website exists. So if your so inclined, please share the link to this website. It has pretty much everything ever printed for Marvel Super Heroes, and a whole lot more, in PDF's. Seriously, check out all the tabs, because there is a LOT of additional fan created material shared via this site as well.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Cool stuff. I used to play Gamma World with Kim Eastland. He wrote Children of the Atom for MSH. He said he spent more buying every issue of the X-Men comic for research than he earned writing the supplement.

I'll have to check that out. I still have my character for it; Steel Lynx.

I might be able to convince my wife to play. She can be Juggernaut.

Heh, imagine what it would be like today, with each issue, of a WIDE variety of X-men titles running around $4 each. Which is why I take advantage of Marvel Unlimited. I still have thousands of issues to read yet, and it only costs me about $60/year to do so. That paid for itself just with all of the issues of Deadpool I read a few weeks ago, at $3 to $4 a pop, if I was buying them individually. Now if only DC would offer a similar service...Buttmonkey wrote:Cool stuff. I used to play Gamma World with Kim Eastland. He wrote Children of the Atom for MSH. The Marvel RPG was a lot of fun. And from a marketing perspective, releasing a supplement every year to account for the changes in the comics was genius.
Re: Reminder about the Classic Marvel Super Heroes RPG...
OK. Downloaded it. Maybe I'll get to play it sometime.
Re: Reminder about the Classic Marvel Super Heroes RPG...
Agreed. We used to play it when we would stay down the (Jersey) shore, in Wildwood. That and Top Secret got more play there than D&D. Not sure why, but I think the Miami Vice/summery music and feel caused us want to play games set in the modern-day, as opposed to swords and sorcery.Jyrdan Fairblade wrote:The Marvel RPG was a lot of fun. Fun game! I spent some time in 2010 running a villains game based in Jacksonville, FL that my players had fun with. They created so much havoc that The Avengers were sent in to handle things!
