Custom DM/CK/GM screen

Post by Treebore »

Due to a conversation here in the forums with WSUJ Steve, when I was at Wal Mart earlier today, browsing the store while getting a new tire installed as well as an oil change and filter. I spotted the back to school sale section and recalled Steve mentioning using a 3 ring binder as a screen. So I went over and checked out their 3 ring binders, and found one just shy of $8 that I think works great. I put two sheets inside the exterior cover sleeves, and so far I have used only 1 of the 4 interior pockets, and in the 3 rings I have put my 70 sheet note pad that I am currently using for my Aces and Eights game notes.

If I wanted to make the exterior into 4 panels, I could do so with the purchase of a second one, but right now, I see just this single binder working great for most games I currently run, or plan on running.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I could buy a second binder, and have even more utility for like $16.00 for the two. Plus I can still DL any inserts they have, that are useful to me. The only thing they have on my using two 3 ring binders is if I preferred landscape, which I don't.

Nothing wrong with hammerdog, I am just saying I can get a good GM screen for much cheaper, and arguably more pockets, etc... Heck, with the 3 ring binder part, and some sleeve protectors, I can have whatever rules I want handy. So in combo with the 4 pockets on the inside, the external "sleeves" on the outside for me to slip player info into, I am just saying you can get very functional 4 panel GM screens for about half the cost. Or if you run simple games, and only need 2 panels outside, 4 pockets inside, plus the 3 rings, for $8.00.

Its all about choices/options.
