There is the society chat also at knightsofthecrusade.com. The more chats we have, the less chance any particular one will have a quorum.

It isn't IRC-based, it's a forum chat.
There was an IRC chat at http://irc.darkmyst.org/ #C&C but I believe if you went there you'd be alone.
