3rd party modules
3rd party modules
My friend just pointed me to this:
http://www.rpgnow.com/product/203401/TG ... west_since
I wasn't aware of 3rd party product for C&C.
Is there more 3rd party product out there?

Re: 3rd party modules
Interesting. The only third party stuff I was aware of being sanctioned was through Arcana Creations a few years back.

There was the Brave Halfling stuff from years ago too. But, that looks like someone made a module and put out multiple system versions. Not sure if it is "official" though.

Re: 3rd party modules
I've seen a post or two about 3rd party adventures in the G+ community. Believe they also had print options via Lulu available.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: 3rd party modules
TLG definitely allows it if you get prior permission. I believe at one point a few years ago, TLG actually sent out a call for 3PP to get some more adventures in the pipeline. Either that, or at least it was mentioned that they were going to attempt to do so.

Re: 3rd party modules
Didn't Goodman Games put out a whole bunch of C&C modules? That would count as third-party, right?
Looks like they have three C&C products in their online store:
http://goodman-games.com/store/product- ... -crusades/
And with numbers like GG2, GG3 and GG5 I would assume at least two others that must be out of print at the moment.

Re: 3rd party modules
I got permission from the Trolls to release a third party module at Gary Con last year. They were very open to it, although they suggested I submit it to them for publication before going rogue. I just haven't had the time or inclination to whip it into publishable shape since. I've been thinking about submitting it to the Domesday Book instead.

Has anyone tried any of these? How's the quality of story / design?

I'm not sure I'd call 5 modules "a whole bunch"finarvyn wrote:Didn't Goodman Games put out a whole bunch of C&C modules? That would count as third-party, right?

If you didn't click around on the link above, this company actually has a series of 3 converted C&C adventures:

Re: 3rd party modules
Well, in my defense when I first posted I didn't know there were only five. I've seen lots of C&C at one of my local game stores and for some reason thought it was mostly Goodman stuff, but I guess not as much as I had thought.capmarvel wrote:I'm not sure I'd call 5 modules "a whole bunch"finarvyn wrote:Didn't Goodman Games put out a whole bunch of C&C modules? EDIT: And you can buy all five in PDF here...

Re: 3rd party modules
Maybe someone could (should?) compile all these 3rd party products in a list with links if it's not done already. Obviously one way to grow the game is to show it has some support out there. Though I do find it strange that the game doesn't have more support.
