PHB 6th Printing Errata

Post by Peter »

File and Metal File in the Equipment list both have the same stats. File (which I would assume means a wooden file) should weigh less.

You assume they are the same size... so to keep the weight the same, if the nature of the material and style are different, the size could simply change; 6" vs 9". But its your game, change it if you want or explain it away as I just did.

That is why the lack of equipment descriptions can be an issue. Some of the stuff in there people may have to google to figure out what it is :P

Yep, that is really part of the fun, with nearly all players with laptops or smart phones.. why pay for descriptions, history, images, etc. I recall thinking my Cleric should use the morning star.. that should be a blunt weapon.... had to learn that in an encyclopedia (back in 1980 or so).

I think the Troll like to keep things light, make us work a bit, and saves on book thickness and cost eventually.

I do agree, there are many things that need game mechanic explanation at times, leaving these details to us is fine by me..

Cheers, Capt K
