I'm glad to hear the Trolls...

Post by Treebore »

are going to do more smaller Conventions, and are even looking at doing PAX, which I have been considering going to as well, so may now have the final push I need to do so.

Plus it sounds like they are finally realizing giving serious support to the Knights of the Crusade is a great marketing tool, so I am looking forward to seeing what they do on this front.

I am also glad to hear that they have got back into doing their own in house publishing, especially since it sounds like it was a total win for them the last time around, despite the head aches.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I think their own community is their strongest sales force.

Probably true, but it's sad that such a long tenure of Trolls at GenCon is coming to an end.

Yep. I only go to GenCon every other year (it's rather expensive for me to come from Florida) and seeing the Trolls is one of my highlights. Heck, last year me and the wife got to play in a game run by Steve! So, yeah, it's a little disappointing. I'm not saying I don't understand, but it's sad nonetheless.

Is CnC big enough for them to host their own CnCon?

That is actually one of the smaller Cons they specifically mentioned going to instead of Gen Con.

I would very much like to go to one of these CnC "only" cons where I have a better chance of seeing all you from the boards and meet the Troll Crew too. What's a good one for this and when is it? Ideally not to far from OH/PA.. but I can road trip too.
