Can someone use SMALL words and explain the xp example from the M&T please. I am way confused by this.

My interpretation of it is that you take the base xp value for the HD, add the given value for HP (multiplied by the actual HP of the creature), then add the value for type 1, 2, or 3 if the creature has them. As far as I know you do not add multiples of each type of power. But I have, for the Drider as an example.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
