Where are the CK Screens?

Post by pineappleleader »

Today I went to my FLAGS and tried to order a CK Screen. It was impossible.

Alliance (the largest game distributor in North America) does not have CK Screens listed, so my FLAGS can not order one.

I ASSUME (more a hope, than an assumption) that the Trolls are going to sell the CK Screens through the established game distribution network.

How long before they appear in the system?

Hearing about them, but being unable to get one is maddening.

They should be headed out to alliance shortly. The distributer stuff was mailed out at the same time as the preorders. Your game shop could also order direct from the troll lords. Get Steve the store's number and he'll call them personally. ^_^

Thanks for your reply.

All Trolls look the same. What is Steve's secret identity (err...screen name)?

Steve is Troll Lord.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The delay on the screens through the shops is....not the distributors fault (this time ) it is entirely my fault. I thought Davis shipped them to Ft. Wayne (their kick off point the day I left for Dundracon). He thought we were shrink wrapping them here and waited for me to get back. When I got back they hadn't shipped (obviously) and we were too late to get them to Ft. Wayne in time for them to be shrink wrapped and ready to ship last week (they only announce new product on Thursday). So we shipped them to Ft. Wayne last week, they arrived, we're shrink wrapped on Monday and offered as a new product....tonight. They will auto-ship (if I can use that word at this point) on Monday next and start arriving in stores by week's end...we hope.

Sorry folks. This one is all squarely on my shoulders. But they are getting there!!

Thanks,

Steve

Well, better late than never! Alliance already has them set aside for my FLGS including one for me, so I'm set.

I went by my FLAGS today. They had my copy of the CK Screen. WOW! Really impressive. Everyone in the shop really liked the artwork on the screen and booklet cover.

They were also impressed with the overall quality of manufacture. The booklet adventure was a long one with a map and the screen itself was on good quality very heavy card.

Less impressive was the typo on the back of the booklet.
The only thing keeping the shop from carrying C&C as a regular in-stock line is that products are very hard to get a hold of.

The cover of my adventure was in color, then the second page was a B/W duplicate of the cover page. Was the cover page supposed to be color or B/W?

Some of the books had duplicate covers. I shredded a bunch of them, so Treebore you may have the elusive collector's item! lol

Glad to know they are making their way through the system! And thanks for the good word, we real happy with the whole affair to be honest.

My CK screen special order is waiting at the FLGS, and has been since Wednesday.

I'll have to check to see if it's a double-cover or not. But I cannot wait to pick it up, even though I've had no choice but to wait!

I have mine. It's quite a beautiful piece of work; I can't wait to use it.

The module it came with looks to be cool, too.

The FLGS also just happened to have a copy of Vakhund: Into The Unknown on their shelves when I picked up my special order.

Fiiiiiiinally got my screen and I have to give backhanded compliement with it.

Some of these charts should have been in the core book, especially the class ability by level section. I just know that my book AND my screen are going to passed around during character creation.

Otherwise, it's a joyus product. Except for spells, I may very well never have to crack open the book for anything else, which was something I was hoping for in a C&C screen.

What the...? Today I got my copy of Castle Zagyg which I picked up during the $10 sale last Saturday. Steve (I believe it was Steve on the phone; I'm not really sure) said that it would be mailed out Monday so that was fast! I still haven't received my screen which I ordered in late or middle February though. Hey guys, I'm not bitching as I am a very patient cat, but I'd just thought I'd let you know that this are still some unaccounted-for screens out there.

What's your name and address? I thought I had gotten all these re-shipped (but for one, Ian, yours went out today, air letter post to your brother's house).

post here, email me at troll@trolllord.com or PM me.

Thanks!

I've made steve aware of this posting. Be assured he will look into the matter and see what the hold up is. ^_^
