Yes, please let me know I got you to spend money on something you love.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Well, now that I had a chance to read through the PHB and M&T I can honestly say it was money well spent.
I'll admit at first I wasn't to sure about the SIEGE engine but after wrapping my head around it it looks to be a simple, effective system. I had to get my mind out of the "rules intense" games I've been playing and quit wondering "But what if my players want to do..." Hell, I did without all the complex rules for YEARS before 3.5 came along and never had a complaint.
My wife (who's a player in one of my groups) can't stand it when I get a new sytem. It's even winning her over, I caught her looking through it as well.
There enough about the sytem to like that I cant even list 'em all. But of primary importance....
Orcs are LAWFUL evil again!

*grins* I hear that alot. To me, one of the absolute BEST things about the Siege Engine is that it puts the power back in the DM's (CK's) hands and not in the rulebooks, if that makes any sense. It's entirely possible that your players may throw something at you that isn't covered in the PHB or M&T. This is where you earn your stripes as a Castle Keeper. The Siege Engine was intentionally made simple so that the person running the game is more than just a page-quoting automaton.
ANYWAYS, I'm really excited for you and your players! Keep us posted on your adventures!

Yes, i love the versatility of the SIEGE engine. Don't forget that when you try to convert the "hardcores", tell them there are no lists of feats or skills because every character can attempt anything covered by a feat or skill as long as it makes sense for the character to know how to do it.
For examples,
All fighter type feats in 3E can be attempted by any fighter type in C&C.
The entire default skill list for the classes is available to the PC at any time.
Even feats or skills not allowed to your class can be attempted, but at a TN 18 instead of 12, and your class level cannot be added. so success is highly unlikely.
Also, when your explaining a Prime to them saying it is essentially a +6 bonus to any action or save you make that is based off of that stat. High Attributes can raise that bonus even higher. This worked best for me.
If you happen to love MegaTraveller/Traveller let me know and I'll tell you how easy it is to convert it as a skills based system to SIEGE. Essentially you just come up with a new success chart based on a d20 instead of 2d6 and leave skill ranks open ended and easier to learn. Then change the armor values to reflect the d20 range, which I got out of the Traveller d20 book. I've only ran two 8 to 10 hour sessions, but it worked just fine for me.
Edit: cahnge 2E to 3E.

Enjoy the system, my group has a mix of 3.5 players and old schoolers, they both like the nice balance that SIEGE gives between these two types of fantasy RPGs. Also as a CK I love having the ultimate power. Muhahahaha.
