An "ism" question

Post by Lurker »

This is kind of an odd question for people smarter than I. It isnt close to anything C&C related but after reading (and dropping my 2 cents) in the 300 & global warming threads I dont think it is tooooo far out to not fit in here.

It came up in dinner last night with my wife. She is a director at a local TV new station & dropped a little secret. It turns out that a part of the program the resembles a Paul Harvey my thought kind of thing, which is supposedly the opinion of the speaker. The truth is that the speaker is just an old gentleman actor & doesnt have anything to do with writing his thoughts. It is all done via a committee that writes everything and he just reads it each day.

I know this is a fairly standard propaganda practice, but is there an ism that this is part of.

Thanks for the help & thoughts
