Issue 2 is under way. I'm looking at differing ideas for my contributions and awaiting contributions. I'm hoping about Mid-May.

What are you looking for in terms of submissions? Unwittingly, the last one almost had a theme, that being centered on flora in various degrees, minus the stuff in the middle, which was good. Just figured you might want each "issue" to be "about something."

Hmm. I hadn't noticed that. I'm definately not looking for any type of theme in the issues. Interesting it worked out that way.

That all said, anything is open to submission. I'm actually home sick today due to a severe migrain from yesterday and massive allergy problems. So I have been looking at options for my contribution which is either a new type of magic item/trap or a new type of monster.

Also, as stated in the first issue I am looking for blurbs on our own settings and thoughts concerning the two year anniversary of C&C as standard articles.

So in short, anything is fine by me.

I might contribute with some "classic" spells (maybe 10 or so) which I feel are missing from the C&C repertoire. I am currently in the process of converting them... From a legal perspective, I can use spells covered by the d20 SRD, can I?

SRD spells are fine, though the keeper should have an ogl whenever it has mechanics in it and quote the original source material in the last section, alongside the same copyrights we se on the end of the C&C books.

First say what is Open Game Content and what is not, rules are OGC since they are based on OGC themselves, at the end add an OGL (link to original one from the RD: http://www.wizards.com/d20/files/v35/Legal.rtf )

Then update the last section (section 15) with any product you have used information from, jsut copy their whole section 15 and add to the basic one here follows the 2nd printing C&C section 15:
Quote:
15. COPYRIGHT NOTICE

Open Game License v 1.0a Copyright 2000, Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

System Reference Document Copyright 2000-2003, Wizards of the Coast, Inc.; Authors Jonathan Tweet, Monte Cook, Skip Williams, Rich Baker, Andy Collins, David Noonan, Rich Redman, Bruce R. Cordell, John D. Rateliff, Thomas Reid, James Wyatt, based on original material by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson.
Castles & Crusades: Players Handbook, Copyright 2004, Troll Lord Games; Authors Davis Chenault and Mac Golden.

Castles & Crusades: Monster & Treasure, Copyright 2005, Troll Lord Games; Authors Robert Doyel and Stephen Chenault

Castles & Crusades: Players Handbook, 2nd printing, Copyright 2006, Troll Lord Games; Authors Davis Chenault and Mac Golden.

Edit: Remember to add the product itself there, with author and all.

Sorry selr, I just copied it from the 2nd printing directly, so it i wrong there, go check it out.
heh, I also found another typo on this very section 15 of the 2nd printing, for the M&T the Troll Lord Games name changed to troll Lord Gamees...

Julian, if you used nothing other than the SRD and C&C, just copy section 15 as I posted it there (and fixed for serl's name, without any thievery involved.

Ok, just to let everyone know issue 2 hit a snag. The family was hit by a stomach flu that has slowed us down unless it's running to the toilet.
I'm doing better so I plan to work on some stuff. I'm curious also as to what people thought of my Black Trade article. Also I'm kicking a few ideas around. 1) A new magic Item/Trap 2) An introduction to my Karstlands/Itar setting 3) Continuing the Black Trade with an overview of Icehouses and bewing 4) New monsters.

I can possibly include one or two things this issue but I don't want it to look like the Keeper is a vehicle for my own glory whore use.

Prayers,

Zudrak

P.S. I don't have anything for you right now, but if that changes I'll let you know -- or it can go in Issue #3.

Just checked this out today. Definitely cool stuff. I haven't finished reading through it yet, but so far, so good.

Only 1 criticism from me. You might consider using Justify for the text alignment. Looks a lot more neat, and blocked.

Yes, I am anal.

I'll try that. And just FYI any grmmatacal errors and such comes from the editor being a hillbilly with wordperfect.

Thank you. Things are doing better. In fact I worked on two articles yesterday and hope to work on them again today. Mrs. Grimm has been the worst what with morning sickness and the flu. I feel for her and hate that I can't do anything for her.

Or, they come from the original author, like myself, who doesn't know much about words or grammar. And, who over-uses the comma. Too much.

Commas, run on sentances and overly long paragraphs are my friend!

Overly long for you guys is a joke for me, in Portuguese we use far more commas in a paragraph than you do in a whole article.

Anyway, I hope things get back to normal soon, Julian.
