Are there any demo modules/rules/adventures for C&C like there is for LA?

I'm trying to get my players trying new stuff.

Thanks,

Bytor

There's 2 free adventure scenarios over at http://www.castlesandcrusades.com/ called "The Rising Knight" and "Lion in the Ropes."

There aren't any quick start rules for free that I know of, but over at RPGNow you can get a PDF of C&C Lite for pretty cheap.

Hey, Bytor, good to see you here.

F.Y.I., sometime "real soon now" there's going to be a new Troll Lord website, and when that happens there's going to be a $10 sale (as in, pick up a copy of the 2nd printing Players Handbook for $10).

PJ, what is up?

Well, I ended up buying the player's book and the monster & treasure book online before posting. I've been looking just to have stuff to show my players and go, "See, old school can be good..."

I've kicked off a campaign with C&C and Castle Zagyg:Yggsburgh. My PCs are currently in Dark Chateau. They just finished exploring the grounds, and are getting ready to actually go into the manse.

As for free stuff, in addition to what was listed, above, there's Beacon at Enon Tor. Also, don't forget that you can use pre-3E D&D and AD&D stuff with C&C very easily. There's some free modules at Dragonsfoot, and some more on the Basic Fantasy site.

Lastly, for some real old-school goodness, take a look at what Rob Kuntz is working on. Not free, but knowing Rob's work, I expect it to be worth every penny.
