Trouble in Aihrde??

Post by Troll Root »

Picture a a party that has returned from a short adventure, and has managed, quite by accident, to retrieve a great entity of destruction from the Void. This entity normally follows the fell deity Unklar onto the plane over which he is exercising his dominion, and signals the beginning of the end for that plane. But, now this fell beast has burrowed itself within the abdomen of one of the characters, and now has made its untimely return to Aihrde.

Realizing that time is running out for the reluctant host of the beast, the party travels to the top of the world, in an area far above Roheisen Hohle, hold of the Stone Dwarves, to unleash this menace upon the world. They have found out it is inevitable that the beast must be unleashed, and it is really humorous that one of the characters worshiped this entity before any of this happened.

Now, the beast bursts forth from the abdomen of the character and as it is burrowing into the mountain, grows exponentially. Not only has the party incurred the ire of the horned god himself, for he waits on the very fringes of the barriers separating Aihrde from the Great Empty, but they have begun a a possible destruction of the World of Aihrde.

This is going to be fun exploring the different incarnations of the worm of destruction, and the effects that are released upon the Aihrde itself. Especially since one of the characters worships the beast, and another has become almost an avatar of sorts!!

Sounds like someone has been playing a bit of Diablo... ;) Naw, it just means there's a lot of adventuring afoot, and some really intriguing intraparty conflict. If I were the avatar, I'd demand worship. :)

Sooo.... what is this? Adventures in The Crusader? Short stories in The Crusader? Sounds pretty neat so far.
