Buying OOP RPGs

Post by Dagger »

I've been in a collecting mode of late and get most stuff from Noble Knight. There are a few things I want that are priced great on the Titan Games site. Has anyone ordered from there? I always like to get a reference before buying online from somewhere I haven't bought from before.

They like to charge a lot for shipping, so get a quote from them first.

They do charge quite a bit for shipping, but they deliver the goods. I've had a couple of good experiences ordering from them and no bad.

Overall, both services are fine but moreso with NKG IMO, both are pretty expensive for shipping, but NKG does a better job of packing IF you get you stuff mailed in a box.

I've purchased from them via eBay auctions and have been very satisfied. Their shipping was indeed higher than others, but the low cost of some of their items offsets this.

I think they were purchased/acquired by Tonya (another eBayer), but I haven't bought anything since the new owner took over. If I saw something on their store site, I would most likely buy it.

Tonya is the daughter of the Titan Games owner. Their shipping is ridiculous and I do believe they've been added to the Shady Dealers thread on The Acaeum.

I recommend staying away. After all, charging $13 shipping and handling for a one page item that costs perhaps a dollar or two postage regularly is robbery.

Unless the place is in the UK, where shipping is regularly high, and due to the flux of dollar vs. pound, one ends up on the losing side at about 2:1... but, still, even at normal trade rate of 6$, that's atrocious.

I've never bought from Titan Games, as the same stuff can always be found elsewhere, but now knowing shipping is ridiculous, I think I'll stay away for sure.

There are a few reliable resellers on ebay with fair shipping costs and quality items If you don't like the auction format, that's fine - there's plenty of good items listed in stores.

Okay . . . I'm not trying to plug my own products - there are several excellent resellers you can trust. Ask around - or just look at the feedback.

I purchased two books from Titan Games early this year, Tonya indeed was the one who I got in touch with, the shipping was high, but then I paid for insurance and international priority mail, and the prices were way below anywhere else I could get the books.

They were in the conditions described and I felt they were even better than they said. I haven't had any trouble with those purchases.

I also ordered from Noble Knight before and they have the best packing I have seen so far, and I have been buying RPG books in the web for a few years now.
