What happened to the C&C quickstart?

Post by Ghost_Face »

I downloaded it, and had told a new player to read it before joining in our game next weekend...only now it's gone. Just wondering why?

I guess I could see the Trolls not wanting it available befor free rpg day...Was it a mistake putting it up this early?

Anyway, just wanted to also say I think it's a damn good intro to the game. With the monster download and this it's almost like having the old basic D&D boxed set. Will definitely try to grab a printed copy during free rpg day, though I don't think any stores in Chicago are participating.

It'll probably (I'm hoping anyway) be back in some form or other, but it was meant to be used for Free RPG Day, and not released before then.

Those few precious hours of glory were, but fleeting. For those of you who downloaded a copy. Consider yourselves lucky because I betcha' we don't see that .pdf for a long, long time... if at all.

I think it would be a very good idea to make the 'quick start' rules available as a free download in the future.

Having it would surely make it easier to sell it around here, where local game stores are rare and few and stock items are usually not a good idea at all.

Quickstart is back on the web site, but not available until after FreeRPG Day. Still free.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I think the Troll Lords gave away too much with this...

That C&C cheatsheet I have, that someone else made, is pretty good for quickstarting. Hmmm. In fact I should repost it for Fat Dragons game.
